Austre Bokn Camping – modern comfort by the sea

Austre Bokn Camping has undergone a major upgrade since its takeover in 2021. With a perfect location along the E39, right by the Bokn bridge, the campsite offers easy access, quiet surroundings and a complete quality experience for adult travelers and families seeking nature, tranquility and good facilities.

Upgraded facilities for a comfortable camping experience

The site has been completely renovated with 13 new water and electricity points at all sites. The entire area offers clean and safe drinking water. Guest parking, a new septic system and good solutions for greywater have been established.

The sanitary facilities have been renovated from top to toe, with six toilets, four showers and separate facilities for the disabled. The goal is hotel standard, and guests appreciate clean and pleasant rooms throughout the day.

The common area has been upgraded with a large fire pit, a tent for socializing and a covered area for washing up and simple cooking. By the sea you will find a separate area for cleaning fish and shellfish.

Activities in nature – from beach life to mountain hikes

Austre Bokn is surrounded by beautiful nature and offers a wide range of activities. The beach tempts with swimming, sunbathing, crabbing and boating. You can rent a boat and canoe, or just enjoy the view of the sea and the bustling boating life.

Around the campsite you will find several great hiking trails:

Boknafjellet (293 m.) – a short but steep hike with panoramic views of Ryfylke and Haugalandet. Håklepp (155 m.) – an easy mountain hike with great views of the sea and islands. Vardefjellet (188 m.) – a family-friendly hike to the highest point of Austre Bokn. Boknahåvet – a longer coastal hike to the lighthouse at Vestre Bokn.

Perfect starting point for exploring the west coast

Austre Bokn Camping is located in the middle of several coastal gems. It is only an hour's drive to Stavanger city center and about 1.5 hours to Preikestolen. Haugesund, Kopervik and Skudenes are also within a short distance. In the vicinity there is a Coop store in Føresvik, cultural events at Bokn Arena and a vibrant local community.
