Oldevatn Camping

We stayed 2 nights here and it was wonderful. The location and views are stunning. The services are clean and inviting. The reception was fantastic (hint: order the fresh cinnamon buns the night before and have them warm at 9:00am). We didn’t use any of their lake toys, but we did do one of the hikes that start from the campground. Don’t let the sign fool you - it’s not a family friendly hike - but the pay off was amazing - mindblowingly beautiful views. It was tough but worth it!

An absolutly wonderfull (smaller) campsite. Great facilities, terrific barbecue area, spotlessly clean ablutions, family/tv room, play areas, free kayaking, boating, swimming in the most magnificent setting.Stayed two nights in Aug 2026. During our trip we stayed in 7 different sites- this was one of the best. Cannot reccomend enough.

We absolutely LOVED this place. It was the best campsite of our entire journey, and the free access to rowboats, close proximity to the Briksdal Glacier & amazing views made it an unforgettable experience indeed.
