About Gjerdset Turistsenter

We warmly welcome you to Gjerdset Turistsenter. We are surrounded by the spectacular Romsdal mountains, close to the bay and the famous salmon river Rauma, which reopened in 2021. The tourist center has a quiet and peaceful atmosphere, and is also very child-friendly. We are an excellent starting point for day trips on foot, by bike or by car. Close to the wonderful Trollstigen, Trollveggen and a good starting point for a day trip to the Atlantic Road. The tourist center is located approx. 20 minutes from Åndalsnes; where you can find shopping malls, grocery stores, police, restaurants, gas stations, bars, etc… We offer a number of different cabins and apartments, so we have no doubt that you will find something suitable for you and yours! You can read more about our cabins and apartments here. We have no reception, which gives you as a guest more flexibility when it comes to both check-in and check-out. You will receive detailed instructions on check-in and check-out after you have booked your stay, or you can send us an email here if you have any questions. Do you want to take your four-legged friend on a trip? This is of course allowed with us, both two-legged and four-legged are welcome!

We stayed at Gjerdset Turistsenter for one night as a family of three adults and had a very enjoyable stay. The apartment was very nice, cozy and comfortable, and the beds were comfortable as well. The Wi-Fi worked well for us. The highlight, however, was definitely the amazing view. The surrounding mountains, lake and peaceful countryside create a beautiful atmosphere and make this a very special place to stay. It was a perfect stop during our trip through Norway, and we would happily stay here again. Highly recommended!

Our stay in the main house was amazing! More than enough room for the 6 of us. The view was spectacular. Enjoyed making our breakfast in the kitchen. The owner was extremely helpful with any questions we had.

Utrolig hyggelig eier/vert som tok imot meg ved ankomst. Hyttene er fantastiske med god standard. Kjempefin plass som absolutt anbefales

Hatten ein Fass gebucht - sehr gemütlich und sauber. Ausblick einfach traumhaft! Waren schon zum zweiten Mal hier und kommen mit Sicherheit wieder

Jeg vil anbefale dette feriestedet til alle. Eierne er veldig hyggelige å kommunisere med, og de svarer raskt på spørsmål. Vi valgte en liten hytte, og mannen min og jeg ble begge positivt overrasket over hvor koselig og vakker den var. Alt du trenger er der – sengetøy, oppvask i et lite utekjøkken ved siden av, og toalettet er bare noen få meter unna. Det er også en bålplass og et bord ved siden av hytta. Dette var det beste valget vi kunne ha tatt til en så god pris. Og for de som liker å fiske – det er en stor, vakker innsjø i nærheten, bare noen få skritt fra åsen. Du kan også leie en båt med og uten motor gratis ☺️👌
